In response to the Boston Marathon bombings, the International Dermal Institute
(IDI) donated 100% of all class fees for its students from May 13-24, and, on May 11,
Dermalogica donated 100% of all proceeds from MicroZone treatments
to One Fund Boston. Combined, more than $10,000 was raised. The
company also recently supported the ongoing Oklahoma tornado
disaster recovery by donating sun-protection products to the American
Red Cross workers and volunteers.
In other company news, Dermalogica held its 20th Annual
International Education Conference in Carson, CA. Thirty-five countries
were represented at the week-long conference, where attendees focused
on interactive learning techniques and technology, scientific and ingredient breakthroughs,

On May 19, Milagros Salon Spa in Seattle
and Lisa Vann and Friends presented a dinner
and high-fashion hair-styling stage event
with celebrity hair and makeup experts,
Ted Gibson and Jason Backe, to raise funds
for Greater Seattle Business Association
2013 Scholarship Fund. The fund is aimed
at helping Seattle lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender (LGBT) youth and youth from
LGBT families achieve higher education by
awarding a minimum of $250,000.
Éminence Organic Skin Care raised $11,073 during the
Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend through staff donations, a
holiday auction and corporate matching, which was presented by
founder and president, Boldijarre Koronczay, at the live telethon.
The cause raised $18.4 million throughout the weekend.

Children’s Center’s Girls’ Self-Esteem Program and its 25th
annual class of graduates at the ceremony and celebration on
May 6. It provided each graduate of the eight-week program
with cosmetic and skin care kits, created by the company’s
